What do we Value?

Bringing the Island to Toronto

Our story begins in 2015 when we first tried Poke (pronounced “Po-kay”) in the beautiful islands of Hawaii. It was love at first bowl. To our surprise, despite our city’s diverse food and culture, no one had brought this dish to Toronto. So began our quest to recreate that unforgettable experience and to share it with our city.

Umami is the 5th taste – meaning flavourful and savoury. Our Poke is the culmination of our efforts of obtaining umami. Our sauces pay tribute to those we tasted back at the islands while also adding a Toronto twist – from typical Korean flavours to Middle Eastern sauces.

We love the Ocean and source all our seafood from Oceanwise suppliers. Oceanwise maintains standards to ensure those that are accredited practice ocean-friendly fishing and are committed to sustainable seafood. Our produce is always fresh and whenever possible, locally sourced. We place great value in the quality and source of our food so that our customers can eat comfortably
